To celebrate International Day Against Homophobia on May 17, Fondation Jasmin Roy, in collaboration with TD Bank Group, will award the Purple Ribbon prize to a Quebec school that has made an outstanding contribution to this initiative. This prize will be awarded to the elementary or secondary school that has implemented an anti-homophobia awareness program for the current school year. Using the attached form, you will have to demonstrate to the jury of the Fondation the actions taken throughout the 2016-2017 year to reduce homophobic acts in your school.

To help jury members pick the winner, we invite you to send us photos, videos or any other relevant document that will demonstrate your approach and the work that was accomplished. The deadline to submit a project is April 30, 2017.

This award will be accompanied by a $2,500 cash prize to recognize the exemplary work done by your school’s staff and students in their efforts and actions to reduce homophobia.

Fondation Jasmin Roy is contiuing its efforts to reduce bullying, discrimination and violence in Quebec schools.
