Céline Choiselat

Happy to join the Board of Directors of the Jasmin Roy Sophie Desmarais Foundation, Céline Choiselat aims to actively contribute to the Foundation’s mission of raising awareness and fostering social transformation. Convinced that everything begins with human relationships and emotional balance, she has been personally touched by this mission, in which she deeply believes. She briefly but intensely embodied it during her tenure as the Foundation’s Vice-President of Philanthropy.

Since January 2025, Céline has served as Head of Philanthropic Development Major Gifts at the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM)—a return to an institution she knows well. Between 2012 and 2016, she was Head of Philanthropic Development at the OSM, after holding the position of Head of Media Relations from 2010 to 2012, a period notably marked by the opening of the Maison symphonique.

She also worked at the Orchestre Métropolitain, first as Director of Funding and Partnerships (2019–2021), then as Senior Director, Philanthropy and Partnerships (2022–2024), following a term as Director of the Fondation du Collège Stanislas in 2021.

From 2016 to 2019, she lent her expertise to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts as Associate Director of Philanthropic Development for the Circles.

Her career has also included communications roles, notably at Québecor Média (2005–2008) and various cultural projects as a freelancer. She began her career as Press Officer at the Opéra national de Paris.

Guided by the belief that culture is a cornerstone of both individual and collective development, Céline found in symphonic music a stabilizing anchor during a time in her life marked by academic instability and a lack of self-confidence. This experience nurtured a deep commitment to causes that foster self-esteem, respect, and the development of healthy emotional and relational habits.

Trained in cultural sociology and theatre studies at the Université Paris X – Nanterre, she combines a nuanced understanding of artistic issues with hands-on experience in philanthropy and strategic communications.
