Jean Duclos is an accomplished administrator, dedicated philanthropist, and the founding president of CFO Contact Financier Inc., a company providing outsourced financial management services.
He completed his training as a Chartered Professional Accountant by earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from UQAM with honors, followed by a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Corporate Finance, also with honors, from UQAM. He also holds the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation.
Jean’s professional journey began at EY, one of the world’s four largest accounting firms. With over 30 years of experience to date, Jean has held positions as controller, vice president of finance, and CFO for various Canadian private companies ranging from small to large, operating in diverse sectors such as steel, manufacturing, distribution, media, chemicals, food products, pharmaceuticals, and the cultural industry.
His professional background has provided him with a diverse experience as he has led several significant projects, including strategic planning, company acquisitions and sales, ERP system implementations, diagnostics of finance and corporate functions, major investment projects, complex financing, and shareholder buyouts.
Jean is recognized today as a positive change agent, committed to his partners through his passion and collaborative style. It is in this spirit that he founded CFO Contact Financier Inc., with a mission to offer CFO services on demand to SMEs in Quebec.
Outside of his professional activities, Jean is actively involved in various organizations and committees, including serving as Vice President (2000 to 2002) of the Montreal chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and as President (2004 to 2010) of the Financial Reporting Committee of the Canadian Association of Chemical Distributors. He is also a member of the expert committee of the Orchestre Métropolitain since 2022.
