Jean-Sébastien Bourré

Jean-Sébastien Bourré hails from Montreal and holds a master’s degree in arts education from the Université du Québec à Montréal.

Within the Jasmin Roy Sophie Desmarais Foundation, Jean-Sébastien shines as a development coordinator, shaping positive and caring environments. Rooted in the field of education, he takes an educational approach to all projects he coordinates at the Foundation.

Jean-Sébastien is an accomplished author. He has written two acclaimed essays on transgender identities: « TRANSition: Évolution du mouvement trans et de ses revendications » and « TRANSition: Une quête de soi.» These works have garnered significant interest, leading their author to popular conferences across Quebec and New Brunswick. Jean-Sébastien’s commitment extends beyond writing, with proceeds going to the Quebec Trans Aid organization (ATQ) in memory of the late Marie-Marcelle Godbout.

Jean-Sébastien has developed two essential tools within the Foundation: the « Parent Information Guide on School Violence and Bullying » and « The Emotion Game,» both translated into English and available online for free. His work also includes creating innovative educational guides and writing scenarios for creative projects, including virtual reality experiences in professional settings.
