Jean-Sébastien Bourré
This Montreal native is the Development Coordinator for the Foundation. He comes from a teaching background, having taught elementary and high school art as well as a number of other subjects. Jean-Sébastien has also published several books, including two essays on the subject of trans-identity. The two books, TRANSition: Évolution du mouvement trans et de ses revendications, and TRANSition: Une quête de soi, have been very successful in bookstores and have led him to give conferences throughout Quebec and New Brunswick. As for the second volume, all profits from the author’s work are donated to the organization Aide aux Trans du Québec (ATQ), founded by the late Marie-Marcelle Godbout.
For the Jasmin Roy Sophie Desmarais Foundation, he published two tools that are still popular: Information Guide for Parents On School Violence and Bullying and The Emogame. Both tools have been published in both French and English, and are available free of charge on the Foundation’s website. Jean-Sébastien has also created various pedagogical guides, notably for puppet vignettes dealing with transidentity, and has written scripts for various projects, including virtual reality in the workplace.
All projects are coordinated by him with great efficiency!
