Me Guy-Lin Beaudoin holds a bachelor’s degree in law, is a member of the Quebec Bar (1990), and has a master’s degree in planning and regional development (1993).
He has more than 30 years of experience in the paragovernmental sector. During his career, he worked in three MRCs and one city. His years spent as assistant general manager and planner at the MRC de Manicouagan allowed him to acquire an expertise in matters relating to the protection of the environment, energy, natural resources and ancestral domain of the First Peoples. He represented the FQM on the FQM-HQ committee.
He acted as general manager of the MRC du Val-Saint-François where he was greatly involved in projects related to the integrated management of the territory in the principles of sustainable development.
He was General Manager of the City of Richmond, where he participated in the restructuring and economic recovery in the context of major job losses in the industrial park.
Me Beaudoin is currently Director General of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges. He is an ardent defender of the rights of MRCs, municipalities and their citizens. His vision pushed the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges to position itself at the federal, provincial, metropolitan (CMM) and Montérégie levels in environmental, land use planning and cultural, social and economic development issues.
M Beaudoin belongs to numerous organizations and is a member of several commissions and committees, including, among others, the Permanent Commission on Energy and Natural Resources, the FQM-Assurance, the ADGMRCQ, the Montérégie Forestry Agency, etc.
Me Beaudoin is also involved in the human rights cause of the first nations Igarots and Lumads in the Philippines. As such, it is part of ICHRP-Canada.
