Michel Dorais, PhD, is an Emeritus Professor at Université Laval. His field of expertise encompasses the sociology of sexuality, social intervention, particularly with marginalized youth, research, and prevention. In recent years, he has been a member of the committee responsible for developing the Bachelor’s degree in Sexology at the Faculty of Medicine and the Master’s program in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the Administrative Sciences. He was also part of the expert committee that authored the report “Rétablir la confiance” (submitted to the National Assembly in December 2020). He has received numerous awards, including the Academic Homage Award from the Fondation Émergence (2022), the Phénicia Medal from the Québec LGBT Chamber of Commerce (2019), and the Grand Prix from the Québec LGBT Council (2012) for his commitment to the social inclusion of sexual and gender diversity. He has published numerous works, some of which have been translated abroad, the most recent being “La Masculinité antitoxique. Ce que tout homme bienveillant devrait savoir” (Trécarré, 2023) and “La Révolution des identités de genre enfin expliquée” (Trécarré, August 2024).
