Children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) face a multitude of daily challenges. What’s more, many ADHD-related behaviors are not well understood by their peers, family, and friends. These behaviors are often misinterpreted and mistakenly attributed to other unrelated aspects, such as rudeness, laziness, or disinterest. To better understand this disorder’s characteristics and impact on children’s daily lives, it is essential to demystify ADHD-related behaviors. Understanding enables us to intervene more effectively and act more caringly. Doing so allows us to be more patient and tolerant of these behaviors and, most importantly, know how to deal with them better.
