The “Marie-Pierre and Phillip Danault All-Star Team” Prize

This year, the Foundation will award two “Marie-Pierre and Phillip Danault All-Star Team” prizes, including one for a participating school in the Bois-Francs region, where the Montreal Canadiens hockey player is from. Each award will be accompanied by a $5,000 cash prize, given to the elementary or secondary school that has demonstrated the best development of healthy emotional and social skills in sports or physical activities during the 2018-2019 academic year.

Violence and bullying are relationship problems that need to be addressed with relationship-based responses, through positive educational interventions that focus on the development of pro-social skills. Supporting the development of a positive school climate involves choosing interventions that will teach young people how to participate in group physical activities.
Using the attached form, demonstrate to the Foundation jury the actions that will be taken throughout 2018-2019 to encourage healthy emotional and relational habits in sports or physical activities so that nobody is left out.
To help jury members decide the winner, we invite you to send us photos, videos or any other relevant documents that will demonstrate your approach and the work that was accomplished.
This award will be accompanied by a $5,000 cash prize to recognize the exemplary work done by your school’s staff and students in their efforts and actions to become the most positive school in sports. Marie-Pierre and Phillip Danault will also visit the selected school to present the award.

The deadline to submit applications is May 15, 2018.
